Garden Variety artists Mary and Haley Smith normally work with fruits and vegetables. Hannaford Supermarket donates to Herkimer Elementary School

Thanks to the generosity of the Herkimer Hannaford Supermarket, Herkimer Elementary School recently received a gift of $1,000 through the Hannaford Helps Schools program. Herkimer students win STEAM competition

Herkimer’s Principles of Engineering class recently participated in an engineering competition called STEAM Revolution through PicoTurbine.  In this competition, groups were given a kit of materials (shown right) and challenged to engineer something from the materials.  Other materials were allowed, but efficiency was encouraged, with extra consideration for recycled materials.
