The district will host a public forum at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 9, at the elementary school.
Superintendent Robert J. Miller will welcome and introduce Craig Meister, project development manager for SolarCity. Meister will give a presentation on a proposal to install a solar array behind the school bus garage near the elementary school.
According to the company, the array would generate 1,179 kilowatts of electricity. Under the proposal, the district would buy electricity from SolarCity, which would pay to install and maintain the solar array.
Time for questions will be given after Meister’s presentation. The forum is open to the public and will be held in the cafetorium at the elementary school, at 255 Gros Boulevard.
For information, call the district office at (315) 866-2230.
