Voters approve budget proposal, elect two to school board

Herkimer Central School District voters approved the proposed 2018-19 school budget on May 15, and elected two candidates to the Board of Education.

The $25,190,000 budget proposal passed, 222-116. Brian Crandall (252 votes) and Michele Gilbert (250 votes) were re-elected to the Board of Education.

Voters also approved the proposed 2018-19 budget for the Frank J. Basloe Library, and elected Ronald Ste-Marie and Ashley Lesniak to the library’s board of trustees.
