Applications are being taken now for free and reduced-price meals for the 2018-19 school year. Families must apply each year to be eligible for free or reduced-price meals during that school year, even if they have qualified in the past.

Qualifying for free and reduced-price meals

Children from households that meet federal income guidelines (outlined below) are eligible for free meals or reduced price meals. Reduced price meals cost each eligible student $.25 for lunch and $.25 for breakfast. Families that receive public assistance may be approved through the direct certification process.

The application process

The food service program at Herkimer Central School District is administered by Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES. Completed applications can be returned to Herkimer Central School.
