Data Breaches or Concerns
If at any time the district learns that student and/or teacher/principal data has been compromised, parents and guardians will be notified, and the data breach will be reported to the state Education Department. Parents who have concerns or complaints about data privacy or security may file a complaint by contacting the Data Protection Officer, Ryan Orilio, at rorilio@herkimercsd.org.
The district has adopted Policy #5306: Protection of Student, Teacher, and Principal Personal Information (Data Security and Privacy) to support the privacy and security of personal information.
