Five Herkimer High School students were recognized in May for completing the Advanced Career Immersion Experience through Herkimer BOCES.

HHS seniors Ally Kirkpatrick, Angelica Zhushma, Johanna Humble, Maria Humble and Julia Yudchits were selected for the opportunity to explore career options under the mentorship of local professionals. HHS guidance counselor Bridgett Manley accompanied four of the students to a ceremony in recognition of their completion of the program.

The students visited local work settings weekly, starting in October and continuing through April, to obtain real-world experience in the workplace and develop career connections with local professionals and leaders in the field.

Participating students shared their internship experiences and thanked their sponsors at a May 1 ceremony that marked the end of their ACIE experience.
