Parents of children who will be starting kindergarten in the fall will have two chances this year to visit the school — but each has a slightly different purpose.
All parents of Herkimer kindergarten students are asked to attend the Kindergarten Mandatory Information Night at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 15, at the elementary school.
This information night aims to give parents a chance to meet teachers, get information about the school, and complete any paperwork that might be necessary. School officials recommend parents attend without children present so that they can complete paperwork without interruption.
Kindergarten students and their families will have the chance to visit the school, see their classrooms and meet their teachers at 2 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 30, when Herkimer Elementary will host a Kindergarten Meet and Greet.
Any parent or guardian who is unable to attend one or more of these events is encouraged to contact the school at (315) 866-8562 for more information.
