The Art Student of the Month for April is ninth grader Carson Gross. Carson is currently in Studio in Art class, and he was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of his positive attitude and work ethic. Throughout the school year, Carson has challenged himself creatively, and his art-making skills have improved tremendously. Below is an interview with Carson.

Q. How does it feel to be Art Student of the Month?
A. I feel great that I am good enough to be selected as Art Student of the Month.

Q. What are your favorite art-making materials to work with, or subjects you like to portray?
A. I like using pencils because my drawings look better than my paintings.

Q. Do you have any artworks that you are particularly proud of?
A. I like my Josh Allen portrait drawing the most because it looks the most realistic.

Q. Where do you find inspiration from when you are creating your own artwork?
A. I find inspiration from nature and the Buffalo Bills.

Q. What are your plans after high school?
A. After high school, I plan on going to college for engineering.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers about the art-making process?
A. You don’t always need great inspiration to make great art!
