Herkimer is proud to help celebrate National Arts in Education Week this week (the week of Sept 12).
In addition to its talented student artists and musicians, the district program has included musicals, concerts, art shows, field trips, and guest speakers. This week on social media, the district will look back visually at the transformative power of the arts in education here at Herkimer.
“The arts help improve individual well-being along with unifying communities,” said teacher Heather McCutcheon
“Art sparks creativity and innovation. Creativity is among the top five applied skills sought by business. Art experiences also boost critical thinking.”
