The Art Student of the Month for February 2026 is Juliana Olney! Juliana is in ninth grade and was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of her outstanding work ethic and her role as a positive influence in the classroom. Juliana consistently challenges herself to come up with interesting project ideas and always uses her class time to the best of her ability. Below is an interview with Juliana.

Q. How does it feel to be Art Student of the Month?
A. It feels good to be chosen as “Art Student of the Month.”

Q. What are your favorite art-making materials to work with?
A. My favorite art-making materials are colored pencils.

Q. Do you have any artworks that you are particularly proud of?
A. Yes, I am proud of my animal eye colored pencil drawing because I think it looks realistic.

Q. Where do you find inspiration from when you are creating your own artwork?
A. When creating my own artwork, I find inspiration from wildlife, as well as other artists.

Q. What are your plans after high school?
A. After high school, I plan to go to college to pursue a career as a marine biologist.

Q. Do you have any advice for your classmates about the art-making process?
A. My advice for my peers is that all mistakes in art can be fixed.
