Maria Lindsay appointed as Middle-High School principal

Dear Parents and Guardians,

I hope this message finds you well. I am pleased to share some exciting news within our school community — Mrs. Maria Lindsay has been appointed as the principal of our Middle-High School, grades 6-12, for the 2025-26 school year.

Mrs. Lindsay brings with her a strong background in educational leadership, having served as a middle school principal for the past eight years, six in the Little Falls City School District and the past two in Herkimer. Her extensive experience working with middle-level learners uniquely positions her to support a smooth transition into the 6–12 principal role. She understands the academic and developmental needs of students at both the middle and high school levels and is committed to ensuring a cohesive and supportive school environment for all.

Mrs. Lindsay is passionate about student success and creating a positive school culture. Her leadership style is collaborative, student-centered and focused on building strong relationships with students, staff and families.

We are excited to welcome Mrs. Lindsay to our school community and look forward to the energy and insight she will bring to this new role. In the coming weeks, she will be reaching out to introduce herself and begin connecting with students and families.

Thank you for your continued support as we look ahead to a great school year.

Sincerely,
Mrs. Carney
Superintendent of Schools
