Herkimer Central School District seniors Kyle Carney and Danielle Gilbert represented Herkimer as New York State Public High School Athletic Association Section III scholar athletes.
They were recognized with Scholar Athlete Awards at the 35th annual Scholar Athlete Dinner, which was held on Monday, June 10, at Onondaga Community College.
Carney was honored as a scholar athlete in soccer, football, basketball and tennis.
Gilbert was honored as a scholar athlete in soccer, basketball and softball.
