Two Herkimer seniors recognized by College Board

 

Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School seniors Rylee Crandall and Caroline Pontius were recently selected by the College Board for its National Recognition Program.Two students pose for the camera

The program is designed to honor student accomplishments, and to help create additional pathways to college for underrepresented students. Students can also include the academic honors on college and scholarship applications.

To be eligible for the National Recognition Program, students must:

  • Have a 3.5 GPA or higher;
  • Achieve a certifying score on the PSAT/NMSQT, PSAT10 or AP Exams; and
  • Identify as African American or Black, Hispanic American or Latinx, Indigenous, or attend school in a rural area or small town.
