Jr./Sr. High School students visually answer the question ‘What is art?’

Students in Jr./Sr. High School art teacher Heather McCutcheon’s classes were recently challenged with the task of answering the question: “What is Art?”

The art students started with a design and then created a 6-inch by 6-inch art piece. Some students used markers, colored pencils, paint and even the iPad for their project.

When finished, all art pieces were collected and put together as a collaborative work of art displayed in the hallway.

The participating classes were:

  • Social-Emotional Artistic Learning
  • Digital Art
  • Studio Art
  • Art 8
  • Mixed Media
