Budget approved by voters

Herkimer Central School District voters approved the proposed 2020-21 school budget on June 16, and elected two candidates to the Board of Education.

The $25,175,000 budget proposal passed, 768-446— an approval rate of 63%. Diann Fischer (945 votes) and Scott Petucci (924 votes) were re-elected to the Board of Education.

Voters also approved the proposed 2020-21 budget for the Frank J. Basloe Library, 754-452, and elected two candidates to the Board of Trustees.

Francis Peruzzi received 982 votes and will fill a five-year term on the library board. Jon Griffith received 838 votes and will fill a three-year term on the library board.
