The supply lists below are developed by the teachers of the individual classes or grades at Herkimer Elementary School. If you have any questions or concerns about what is on a supply list for a specific grade or class, please contact the main office.

PreK

  • Plastic two-pocket solid color folder
  • Disinfectant wipes
  • Baby wipes
  • 17″ or bigger backpack
  • Travel size pillow/mini pillow (11″ x 7″)
  • Small throw blanket (50″ x 60″)
  • Change of clothes labeled in a ziplock bag with name
  • Reusable grocery bag

Kindergarten

Printable supply list

Welcome to Kindergarten! Below you will find the supplies needed for your child’s classroom. Please label all supplies with your child’s name and bring these items in with you during the Kindergarten Meet and Greet.

Please make sure to send your child with a water bottle daily please!

  • 2 plastic folders
  • 8 Elmer’s purple glue sticks
  • 4 black dry erase markers
  • 10 pack of Crayola washable markers
  • 4 pack of Play Doh
  • Large backpack
  • Change of clothes (labeled in a zip-lock bag)
  • Headphones – label with name please (no earbuds or bluetooth please)

Wish List

  • Paper plates and bowls (small and large)
  • Ziplock bags (All sizes: snack, sandwich, quart, gallon)
  • Cups (All sizes: bathroom, drinking, solo)
  • Baby wipes

1st Grade

Welcome to first grade! We are so excited for a fun filled year of learning. Below you will find the supplies needed for your child’s classroom. Most items will be shared as a classroom unless noted to label.

  • Crayola crayons (24 pack)
  • 4 glue sticks extras always appreciated
  • 4 fine point dry erase markers
  • 1 durable plastic 2 pocket folder (labeled with name)
  • 12 Ticonderoga pencils sharpened
  • 1 headphone set (labeled with name)
  • 2 boxes of Kleenex tissues extras always appreciated
  • 1 large pencil box (do not purchase for Mrs. Nare)

Wish List

(not required but appreciated):

  • cleaning wipes or baby wipes
  • white paper plates
  • roll of paper towels

Second Grade

Printable supply list

Send items with your child on the first day of school. Thank you!

  • Pencil box (plastic and rectangular)
  • 2 boxes of Ticonderoga pencils
  • 2 plastic and 3 prong folders
  • Fiskar scissors
  • Headset (please no earbuds or chargeable headsets)
  • Dry erase markers
  • 1 Box of tissues

  • Baby wipes/disinfectant wipes

Third Grade

Printable supply list

  • No. 2 pencils
  • 3 two-pocket folders
  • 1 package of filler paper (wide ruled)
  • 1 one-subject spiral notebooks (wide ruled)
  • 1 pack of glue sticks
  • Crayons
  • Scissors
  • 1 pack of dry erase markers
  • Headphones
  • Pencil box

Some items run out during the year and must be replenished. Please label your child’s supplies with their name. See below for our third grade wish list below.

  • One set of earbuds or headphones to keep at school
  • 2 two-pocket plastic folders (no prongs)
  • 1 small box of Crayola crayons (12 or 24 count)
  • Hard plastic pencil box (large)
  • 3 packages No. 2 pencils
  • 2 composition notebooks
  • 3 packages Expo dry erase markers
  • Personal water bottle with name on to have daily
  • 2 glue sticks

Fifth Grade

We ask that all students come prepared in the new year with the following items:

  • #2 pencils (24 or more so you have extras)
  • Erasers (pencil cap)
  • 4 dry erase markers (1 or 2 packs)
  • Pencil Case
  • Earbuds/headphones (labeled with their name)
  • 1- binder (1.5-2 inch)
  • Water bottle (labeled with name)
