The Herkimer Central School District is committed to providing student access to nutritious meals each school day. The federal Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act, which regulates school meals, ensures they are low in fat and provide the recommended dietary allowances for calories, protein, vitamins A and C, iron and calcium.

Breakfast

Available daily: Whole grain toast, assorted whole grain cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, chilled fruit juice, cold milk.

HES Lunch

Available daily: Deli sandwich of the day; entree salad; peanut butter and jelly sandwich or allergen-safe alternate. All lunches are served to-go.

  • March 2: Taco Tuesday, ham & cheese sandwich, corn kernels, lettuce, tomato, cheese cup

Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School lunch

Available daily: Peanut butter & jelly sandwich OR allergen-safe alternate.

Meals will be sent home with Grades 7-12 students for remote learning days.
