New school meal payment system has launched

Herkimer Central School District has implemented a new point-of-sale system for school meals.

The new system, EZSchoolPay, is up and running as of Tuesday, Sept. 6. It includes a new online account management program at ezschoolpay.com. This website and app allows parents and guardians to monitor their students’ accounts and make payments using a credit card.

All existing balances, PIN numbers and eligibility statuses will transfer from the old system to the new system.

Parents and guardians also can send a check in instead if they’re not set up on the new system yet. No children will be denied a meal at any time regardless of whether or not there is money on their account.

Unless your family has applied and qualified for free and reduced-price meals, the cost of lunch is $2.75, and breakfast is $1.50. Federal waivers that allowed schools to provide free meals to all students since earlier in the COVID-19 pandemic have expired.

Parents and guardians are encouraged to submit an application for free and reduced-price school meals by clicking here to download a fillable form. The form can be filled out and then printed or printed and then filled out by hand. Read the instructions on the second page of the document, complete only one form for your household and sign your name. The form can be returned to your school building office or the Oneida-Herkimer-Madison BOCES School Food Service Office c/o Perry Jr. HS, 9499 Weston Rd. New Hartford, NY 13413. For assistance with the form, call 315-738-0848.
