The Herkimer Jr./Sr. High School Library Media Center provides access to print and online resources for teachers and their students, and it offers instruction and support for literacy, research skills and digital citizenship.

Check out the Library Media Center’s catalog for library updates as well as one-stop access to databases, pathfinders for research projects, digital resources and more.
- Sora eBook Library
Sora is our district’s collection of age-appropriate digital reading materials. These include eBooks, audiobooks and read-alongs. The platform is free for all Herkimer Central School District students and staff. Users must choose “Herkimer Central School District” from the drop-down list. They will then be prompted to sign in using their Herkimer CSD Google account.
If the Library Media Center doesn’t have the book you’re looking for, you can check the Catalog for Information Discovery and Educational Resources (CIDER) to see if it is available from another school in the region.

The Search for Success database offers access to a wide variety of online resources for student research.
- Mid York Library Catalog (Public Library System)
The Central New York Public Library System Web Catalog includes holdings of the public libraries in Herkimer, Madison, and Oneida counties, access to other library catalogs, such as Contemporary Authors and NoveList. Materials can be borrowed through the High School library.
