The Art Student of the Month for November is Sadie Ward! Sadie is in seventh grade and was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of her outstanding work ethic and her role as a positive influence in the classroom. Sadie consistently challenges herself to come up with interesting project ideas and always uses her class time to the best of her ability. Below is an interview with Sadie.
Q. How does it feel to be Art Student of the Month?
A. I feel honored to be selected as “Art Student of the Month.” I am thrilled to be chosen for something so special.
Q. What are your favorite art-making materials to work with?
A. I like to work with hands-on materials such as paint, clay, crayons, oil pastels, markers, colored pencils, wood, foam, and even digital art.
Q. Do you have any artworks that you are particularly proud of?
A. Yes. I am proud of my bunny pencil drawing.
Q. Do you plan on taking more art classes when you are in high school?
A. Yes. I plan on taking Mixed Media and Ceramics classes in high school.
Q. Do you have any advice for your classmates about the art-making process?
A. Pay attention when Mrs. Zorn is demonstrating, and take your time on your artwork.
