The Herkimer Central School District has revised the calendar for the 2020-21 school year as follows:
October: A superintendent’s conference day scheduled for Oct. 23 has been removed from the calendar and will be a day of instruction consistent with building schedules.
November: A remote learning half-day has been scheduled for Nov. 12. This replaces two half-days that were previously on the calendar for Nov. 10 and 19. On Nov. 12, students will be expected to complete work and attend school remotely for half the day. The remaining portion of the day may be used for professional development or for parent-teacher conferences.
March: A shortened session scheduled for March 19 has been removed from the calendar.
June: June 18 is a state holiday (Juneteenth). A superintendent’s conference day scheduled for June 25 has been removed from the calendar. Graduation is scheduled for Friday, June 25.
Removing the scheduled conference days gives the district greater scheduling flexibility as the school year progresses. Please be aware, however, that this schedule is subject to change. The district will make every effort to notify students, parents and employees of any additional changes to the school schedule in the months to come.
