Q. What date did you start in the new role?

A. Aug. 14, 2025.

Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?

A. I began working at Arc Herkimer while pursuing my bachelor’s degree and quickly discovered a passion for working with children. This experience inspired me to further my education and pursue a master’s degree in education. After spending several years teaching in both Massachusetts and New Hampshire, I made the decision to return home to be closer to family. That journey ultimately brought me back to Herkimer Elementary, where I once walked the halls as a student myself.

Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?

A. I am most excited to be able to give back to the school and community that gave me so much growing up.

Q. When did you first know you wanted to become teacher and what made you feel that way?

A. I discovered my passion for teaching while working in the Children’s Division at Arc Herkimer. I loved working with kids and found it incredibly rewarding to watch them learn and grow throughout my time there. That experience solidified my desire to become a teacher.

Q. What do you think makes Herkimer CSD special?

A. The faculty and staff really go above and beyond to create a safe and engaging learning environment for all students.

Q. Are you a Herkimer CSD alum?

A. I went to Herkimer all through elementary school then transferred to Notre Dame for high school.

Q. How does it make you feel to now be working at Herkimer CSD after previously going to school here?

A. It’s a full-circle moment to be teaching at the very school I attended as a child. Walking the same halls I once did as a student makes teaching here feel extra meaningful.
