Q. What date did you start in the new role?
A. Sept. 2, 2025.
Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?
A. My teaching journey began at Clinton Elementary School, where I worked as a teacher’s aide for two years in kindergarten through third grade. During that time, I completed and graduated with my master’s degree in special education and elementary education.
Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?
A. I’m excited to take on this new role as a special education teacher at Herkimer CSD. I’m excited to have my own classroom where I can bring my education and experience to the district as well as make a meaningful impact on students’ lives every day.
Q. When did you first know you wanted to be a teacher and what made you feel that way?
A. My original college path was sports education. That path shifted during COVID when colleges and schools went remote and I witnessed my younger cousins struggling with school work. Helping them during this time gave me new insight on my future goals of becoming a teacher.
Q. What do you think makes Herkimer CSD special?
A. The wonderful staff and supportive administration.
