Q. What date did you start in the new role?
A. Fall 2025.
Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?
A. I have 10 years of experience teaching in special education (grades 6-12) supporting students with diverse learning needs. My background includes collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to support academic, social and behavioral growth. I am dedicated to creating supportive and engaging classrooms that foster independence, confidence and success to prepare students for graduation and life beyond school.
Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?
A. I am excited to teach at Herkimer CSD because of its strong school culture, dedicated staff and commitment to student success.
Q. When did you first know you wanted to be a teacher and what made you feel that way?
A. My high school summer employment experience as a lifeguard and swim instructor in my community was where I discovered my passion for supporting and educating youth.

A. I think Herkimer CSD’s amazing staff is what makes them so special.
