The Art Student of the Month for May is Abby Renodin. Abby is a ninth grader in Studio in Art class, and she was chosen as Student of the Month by Mrs. Zorn because of her diligence and determination in the classroom. Abby consistently uses her class time well, and her creativeness and art-making skills have improved tremendously. Below is an interview with Abby.

Q. How does it feel to be Art Student of the Month?
A. It feels good to show others my artwork.

Q. What are your favorite art-making materials to work with, or subjects you like to portray?
A. My favorite art-making materials are graphite pencils. I mostly like to draw subjects from nature.

Q. Do you have any artworks that you are particularly proud of, and if so, why?
A. I am proud of my acrylic painting because it turned out better than I thought it would.

Q. Where do you find inspiration from when you are creating your own artwork?
A. I find inspiration from nature, especially animals.

Q. What are your plans after high school?
A. I plan to become an artist after high school.

Q. Do you have any advice for your peers about the art-making process?
A. Just be yourself, and create from your heart!
