Food Bank Community Survey aims to improve food access in Herkimer County

Herkimer Central School District have been invited to partner with the Food Bank of Central New York on a project to improve food access in Herkimer County.

As part of the project, the Food Bank has launched a community survey to help them learn about your thoughts and experiences with food access and awareness of local food assistance programs in Herkimer County. The responses to this survey will be used to create a community informed plan to improve food access and move toward a hunger free Herkimer County.

Currently, in our county, an estimated one in every seven individuals are facing food insecurity, meaning they do not have access to enough food to live a healthy, active life.

Whether you have experienced food insecurity, know someone who has or are a concerned community member, your input and experiences matter to the Food Bank and they want to hear from you! If you are interested in participating, please visit the link to complete the survey: bit.ly/herk26-cfss.

Please note: Participating in this survey is optional, and your responses are anonymous unless you choose to share personal contact information. Participation does not affect your ability to receive food from Food Bank programs, nor does it auto-enroll you in any Food Bank programming. More information about the Food Bank of Central New York and food resources near you can be found at foodbankcny.org.

Thank you in advance for your participation.
