Herkimer Central School District held a Superintendent’s Conference Day on Tuesday, Sept. 1, to welcome 10-month staff back for the 2026-27 school year and prepare for the first day of classes on Tuesday, Sept. 8.
Herkimer Superintendent Kathleen Carney gave a welcoming presentation to staff. During the presentation, Carney talked about the summer of capital project construction and updates on the project, and she shared thanks for the custodians and cleaners for their work as the capital project takes place. Carney also spoke about 2026-27 goals, personal and professional goals and the idea that “all roads lead to Herkimer.”
Carney, Middle-High School Principal Maria Lindsay and Elementary Principal Renee Vogt also introduced new staff.
