Q. What date did you start in the new role?
A. August 2026.

Q. What is your background experience that led to this position?
A. I started my career as a music therapist, which I was very passionate about. In my time as a music therapist, I worked both in schools and clinics with people of all ages. I found myself wanting to be in the schools more and more, which led me to pursue music education.

Q. What makes you excited about working in your new role at Herkimer CSD?
A. I am excited to get to know all of the students in the elementary school and make some music together!

Q. When did you first know you wanted to become a teacher and what made you feel that way?
A. Growing up, I loved being in every music ensemble there was. From choir to jazz band to orchestra and even marching band, I wanted to be in everything. Music has always been a big part of my life. My favorite thing about being a music teacher is sharing my love for music with others.

Q. What do you think makes Herkimer CSD special?
A. I think what makes Herkimer CSD special is the positive and welcoming environment students and staff are welcomed with each day.
